Gogogo Podcast
Synthwave-inspired branding and web design for GoGoGo Design Podcast captured the essence of learning through action, creating a bold visual identity that resonated with aspiring designers.
The Problem: Building a Bold Identity for Aspiring Designers
When we conceptualized the GoGoGo Design Podcast, I aimed to create a platform that would resonate with budding designers in the branding and web design space. The podcast needed to stand out visually and provide a cohesive identity across YouTube and its accompanying website.
The challenge was to craft a brand language that was not only visually striking but also flexible enough to adapt to various touch points—logos, textures, icons, and YouTube thumbnails. I wanted the design to reflect my ethos of learning through action, inspired by the phrase "Go Go Go!"—a mantra from our personal lives symbolizing persistence and progress.

The Solution: Synthwave-Inspired Design with a Personal Touch
To bring the GoGoGo Design Podcast to life, I started with the logo and brand strategy. Drawing inspiration from my mantra, "Go Go Go!"—a phrase rooted in encouraging small steps toward progress—I developed a logotype using Vulf Sans from OhNo TypeCo.
The filled-in 'O' symbolized recording and added a bold graphic element. The vertically stacked version became the primary logo for its adaptability in square formats, supported by horizontal and compact variations for diverse use cases. The color palette and iconography were designed to complement the Synthwave aesthetic, adding vibrancy and energy. As we transitioned to web design, these elements were further refined to establish a cohesive visual language.
The website was built on WordPress using Elementor, incorporating custom illustrations created in Procreate for each episode's featured image. I also produced an intro video with retro CRT vibes to enhance the podcast's identity. The result was a comprehensive visual brand system that seamlessly extended across YouTube and the custom website. This experiment not only allowed me to explore creative boundaries but also helped grow my YouTube audience by 500 subscribers in a short period.
